Astrophotography is a very demanding and technical form of photography dealing with a large number of challenges such as:

- extremely low light levels

- inability to see the object being photographed

- long exposure requirements, often 10+ hours of time

- the effects of light polution

- very high electronic nose levels

- the constant rotation of the earth

- appearance of meteors and satellites

- editing  requirements  often many hours long.
