Astronomy has been a passion of mine
since I was just 12 years old. Within, a couple of years of
receiving my first telescope, I was experimenting with
astrophotography. Of course, back then, there were no
personal computers so all photography was film based. I
teamed up with a few friends and we jointly assembled a
photographic darkroom in one of our parents basements.
With these humble beginnings I was
totally hooked. When I started my family, I was no longer
able to devote the time required to follow this passion so
for many decades it was put to sleep. Now that I am retired,
I have rekindled this interest, and indeed, I have had to
learn again from scratch as technology has changed the
entire astro-photographic work flow.
This gallery represents my digital
period with the addition of one or two old images from the
nostalgic film era.
